# Installing LineageOS [Diaspora Instructions](https://3.basecamp.com/3671212/buckets/7351439/documents/4137788663) - I installed this hoping that it will fix my unstable wifi connection issues (still tbd if this helped). Installation tips: - The script did not recognize my G5K9 (V1.01_20220614), but `./auto_unlock.sh -upgrade` worked without any need for a manual install. - The install wiped the entire tablet, so I had to reinstall the DE1 app with [these instructions](https://decentespresso.com/downloads). - Connecting to the tablet from my Apple M2 Air required: - Using the cable that came with the Decent. - The cable is a USB-A cable, so I had to use a USB-A to USB-C dongle. I'm not sure why, but none of my USB-C cables worked (even ones I have verified are capable of data transfer). - To enable USB file transfer in LineageOS, I had to do the following: - Settings > About phone > Tap on Build number 7 times - Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options > Default USB configuration > File transfer - The DE1 app instructions say to "Use your finger to choose the /sdcard/de1plus directory". This did not work. I needed to type `/sdcard` into the "File Name" field in AndroWish's the file chooser to get the directory to load. - Once I had installed the DE1 app, it could not find any bluetooth devices. I fixed this by enabling location services in system Settings, set AndroWish to "Allow always", and also enabled allowing apps to scan for bluetooth. - The deleted my calibration settings! Back those up. I had to contact decent support to get the record from the factory. - ![[Pasted image 20230705203217.png|500]]
