It had me wondering what it would take to excavate my backyard and add another 1000 sq ft to my basement. Some of my coworkers who have experience with big home improvement projects said it would probably cost into the six figures if I wanted to do it right. So if I want more space, it would probably be cheaper to just move to a bigger house. Oh well. I also learned that some people will increase the space in their basement by lifting their house. Why? Well, this video doesn't answer that question, but I thought the content was pretty good and enjoyed several others on the channel.
